Diploma in Right to Information (DRTI)
This diploma is offered by the School of Law. It teaches students about the RTI Act’s purpose, applications, duties of public authorities and the effects of legislature on it.

Course Description
The diploma course syllabus teaches students about the definition of the RTI act, its uses and the movement centred on it. They learn how information requests are made and handled It also deals with public authorities- their duties, obligations, problems and constraints. In certain cases, information can’t be revealed because it could compromise individuals and the country. These exemptions are addressed in the course material. The equivalent of the RTI Act in other countries such as Mexico, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Sweden is examined. The diploma is inclusive of a viva voce for the candidates.
