Prohibition Against Ragging

“Any conduct by any student or students, whether by the word spoken or written or by an act, which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student. Exploiting the students from completing academic tasks and financial extortion. Any act of physical abuse including all its variants-sexual abuse, homosexual assaults, and stripping, forcing obscene and lewd acts, gestures, causing bodily harm or any other danger to health of a person. Any act that prevents, disrupts or disturbs the regular academic activities of other students”.

Anti-Ragging Committee

Ragging is a social evil causing an ill effect on the student community which have psychological and physical effect on a student. The menace of ragging which corrodes the spirit of the education needs to be curbed. Pal College of Technology and Management has established Anti-Ragging cell as per the regulations of University Grant Commission to maintain a Ragging-free campus. Anti -Ragging Committee ensures discipline amongst students in the classrooms and within college campus. The aim is to improve senior-junior relations and making the college a better place for the holistic development of the students. For this purpose, an Anti-Ragging Squad is also formed to continuously monitor the behaviour of students and to take preventive measures to maintain ‘Ragging Free Campus’, Awareness programs are conducted regularly by the cell to educate the students about UGC guidelines on curbing the menace of ragging, measures taken by cell, consequences of ragging andpunishments to those found guilty.
